At Mountain Zoomies Co., your dog’s safety, happiness, and well-being come first on every adventure.
These policies help keep things clear and safe for everyone—humans and pups alike.

Service Days/Times:

  • Service hours are between 10am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.

  • No services on weekends.

  • No services are offered on these Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day.

Reservations & Payment

  • Hikes/walks must be booked in advance.

  • Payment is due at time of booking service(s) of your package or trip.

  • We accept: cash and electronic payments (Venmo/Zelle).

  • Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable to other dogs. All sessions must be used within 12 months of purchase or expire.

Scheduling, Timing & Logistics

  • Pick-up and drop-off times may have a time window to allow for traffic and route planning.

  • The “hike time” refers to active time on trail, not including transport.

We do our best to maintain consistent schedules while staying flexible for weather, safety, and dog needs.

Cancellations & Trip Changes

We totally get that life happens. That said, our calendar fills quickly and we reserve your dog’s adventure time just for you.

For regular weekly hikes/visits:

  • Cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice will not be charged.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a 50% charge.

  • No-shows (no one home and no prior notice) will be charged the full hike fee.

  • If we cancel due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will not be charged, and we will work with you to reschedule.

Collars, Gear & Tags

To help keep your dog safe:

  • Dogs must wear a secure, well-fitting collar or harness for all services.

  • A current ID tag with your contact information is required.

  • We strongly recommend that dogs be microchipped with up-to-date info.

  • We may use our own safety gear (leashes, long lines, seatbelts, etc.) when needed

Vaccines, Health & Safety

To keep all dogs safe and healthy:

  • Dogs must be current on vaccinations, including:

    • Rabies

    • Distemper/Parvo (DHPP)

    • Bordetella (kennel cough)

  • Dogs must be free of fleas, ticks, and contagious illnesses.

  • Please let us know about any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or limitations before services begin.

  • If your dog becomes ill or injured prior to a scheduled service, you agree to notify us and pause services if contagious or unsafe.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if a dog is sick, in pain, or unsafe to hike.

Required for Our Off-Leash Adventures:

All Dogs Must…

  • Have a valid City of Boulder Voice & Sight tag & meet the rules of the program.

  • Undergo a 20-30 minute meet-and-greet.

  • Live in Louisville, Lafayette or SouthEast Boulder.

  • Be current with Rabies & DHPP vaccinations.

  • Have excellent social skills & no history of aggressive behavior.

Behavior & Off-Leash Adventures

Our goal is safe, fun adventures where dogs can zoom, sniff, and explore.

To join our on or off-leash adventures, dogs should:

  • Be friendly with humans and other dogs (no history of serious aggression).

  • Have good recall (will reliably come when called).

  • Be comfortable riding in a car with other dogs (if transport is provided).

We do not accept dogs with a history of:

  • Biting humans or other dogs

  • Severe reactivity or aggression that cannot be managed safely on the trail

Off-leash hikes will only be offered:

  • In designated off-leash or low-traffic areas

  • When we have your written consent

  • When our team feels it is safe based on your dog’s behavior and conditions that day

For safety, we may switch any dog to an on-leash walk at our discretion if recall or behavior is not reliable.

Weather & Trail Conditions

We’re Colorado people—we love weather! But safety comes first.

  • We may modify, shorten, or reschedule hikes during:

    • Extreme heat or cold

    • Thunderstorms or lightning

    • Wildfire smoke, poor air quality, or hazardous conditions

    • Ice, dangerous trail conditions, or road closures

  • In some cases, a long hike may be swapped for:

    • A neighborhood walk

    • A shorter nearby trail

We’ll always aim to give your dog a fun, safe experience and keep you informed of any changes.

Keys, Home Access & Security

  • We require reliable access to your home (keys, code, lockbox, etc.).

  • If you provide a key, we recommend two labeled, tested keys whenever possible.

  • Keys are kept securely and never marked with your full name or address.

  • If a locksmith is required due to a malfunctioning lock, dead battery, or unavailable key:

    • You authorize Mountain Zoomies Co. to call a locksmith on your behalf.

    • You agree to reimburse all locksmith expenses.

Please let us know if anyone else (roommates, cleaners, contractors, family) will have access to your home while we are providing services.

Emergency Care

In the event of an emergency involving your pet:

  1. We will attempt to contact you and your listed emergency contact immediately.

  2. If you cannot be reached, we will transport your pet (or arrange transport) to your regular veterinarian or the nearest emergency clinic, as appropriate.

  3. You authorize Mountain Zoomies Co. to seek veterinary care on your behalf and agree to reimburse all veterinary costs incurred.

We will always act in what we believe to be the best interest of your pet.

Photos, Videos & Social Media

We love capturing happy trail faces and mountain zoomies!

  • By becoming a client, you grant permission for us to photograph and video your pet during services.

  • These images may be used on our website, social media, and marketing materials.

  • If you prefer no photos posted, just let us know in writing and we’ll happily respect that.
